Nothing Like It.

27th June, 2019

“Dear Diary,
It just hit me how amazing I actually have it. I can work from home, I can put on crazy music and not a soul is going to complain, I don’t have to hate my job because I actually enjoy what I do, I can learn anything if I choose to, I can take off and travel whenever I want, and the best part of all this is how much time I’ve got in spite of working, as well as writing for myself. All while also focusing on my mental and physical health. It cannot get better than this at the moment, and I am so grateful that I have the freedom to live life the way I choose to.”

The biggest gift in my life right now is the freedom and time to maintain a healthy balance between work, social life, health and my own passion. Of course, I don’t mean to rub it in your faces, but also, I didn’t expect any of this once I had graduated. I was scared about what life was going to throw my way and I guess I just got lucky in that department. Nevertheless, I am very thankful that I have time for all the important things in life.

i love my job

You know how there are all these songs saying ‘Our time is NOW’ or some hip version of Carpe Diem? That’s what my life feels like right now. And I am loving every single bit of it. I am glad that I get to make the most of what I’ve been given because I know that things can change overnight, and this freedom can be taken away. I know how unpredictable life can get.

And while I feel like I can probably do more with my time, learn a few new things, I really need to have the right mindset for it. So when I feel that maybe I should work on a new skill, I will. Until then, I’ll cherish all this time I’ve got for the things and people I love. I cannot ask for more.

Have you counted your blessings today?

Cheerio! Xx
