Offshore Reader Award!

Offshore Writings has come up with this wonderful concept of recognizing the readers who make it to the end of your blog, and personally, I think that this is wonderful because as much as I’d like to be recognized for my writing, it wouldn’t really mean much if it wasn’t for those who read my posts (every single day!) and take the time and effort to leave me a kind comment. It means a lot to us bloggers when our readers take the time to pay attention to everything we have to say. I’m glad that I get to be on both sides of the equations.

One of the things that I love about the blogging community is the awards they like to give each other to motivate fellow bloggers. It’s one of the things that keeps us going and another one of those factors is you, our readers.

First of all, I would like to thank Darell Philip for nominating me for this award. Darell has always been a very encouraging presence, both as one my readers as well as a fellow blogger, and I think that it is very important to mention that Darell has nominated me for most of my blogger awards in the last few months. Thank you so much for that, Darell, it really means a lot to me that you think my blog is worthy. Darell is a very brilliant writer with a powerful voice and I think that everybody should go read his work. His recent post on the Afrikan Emancipation Day is as wonderfully insightful as it is informative, and I think that you should all go read it.

QUESTION:

What is one of your favourite blog posts that you think others should read? Share a link: 
I have been writing every single day for such a long time now, it’s so difficult to pick a favourite. But if I had to choose one, it would be the collaborated post that I worked on with a bunch of my friends, titled ‘An Open Letter to Parents Everywhere‘. It was received very well by most of my readers and everyone told me that it was something that needed to be talked about more and that a lot of people could relate to it. It’s one of my more meaningful posts and I think it’s amazing how many people it reached. Make sure you check it out if you have the time!
