One of Those Days.

“It has just been one of those days and I feel so emotionally drained and exhausted and I find my fight-or-flight instinct urging me to toss my phone aside and stay offline for at least a month. It’s an incredibly weird emotion. I feel very blank right now and I have absolutely nothing to blame it on. Like I said, it’s just one of those days. We all face something like it at some point, I suppose. Even right now, as I’m struggling to write, I find myself distracted by ten different things and I have no idea what to write about, today. But it’s not impossible, is it? Sometimes, the things that form a crucial part of who we are stay trapped within is because we’re too busy trying to recover from some inner turmoil. Words rarely ever fail me like that, but everybody has their fair share of bad days and that’s alright. We’ve been told that if we’re not doing anything productive with our time, we’re just existing and being a waste of space, and I don’t think that people ever realize the weight of such words unless they’ve been at the receiving end of them. We can’t all work ourselves to the bone. There are limits to how much you can take on by yourself and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t go easy on yourself sometimes. Everything in moderation. You’re going to have such days just the way your phone runs out of battery after a whole day of scrolling. Your phone needs to recharge and so do you. It’s not that hard a concept to grasp, and I hope we start paying just a little more attention to ourselves.”
