A Sign?

I’ve been on a spiral for the last couple of days and I’ve been wondering why it is that following one’s dreams is pretty much the hardest thing that any of us will ever have to do. And I still don’t know the answer to that, but I do know that we should never give up on them, come hell or high water. Apparently, taking some time off to re-evaluate, and check in on ourselves every now and then is something we all need at some point.

And when it comes to following dreams, we’re all going to be met with challenges that we’ve never faced before. They’re going to make us want to give up. Whether we run away from that situation or just face it head on is what decides where we will be going from here.

Today, of all days, was a reminder that I should fight for my dreams and not let myself spiral into something I won’t recover from. It was after the really long nap that I took because certain things are causing my project to be delayed a lot more than I would have liked for it to be, and it is a little demotivating because this is the first time I had taken on a project as big as this. It means a lot to me and I keep wondering when I can tell people about it, but I guess some things just take time. Are they worth it? We won’t know unless we see the results in front of us.

Lately, I’ve been drawn to shows and books that are specifically about following our dreams and it makes me wonder whether this is something I am sub-consciously drawn to because it’s something I want to keep reminding myself every single time I want to give up and just fit into the norms and standards society has supposedly set for everyone out there. Then again, I think it would be very unfair to me if I didn’t give myself a chance to thrive after chasing my dreams. I feel like this is a chance everyone needs to give themselves.

Whether you look for a sign to tell you what you need to do is irrelevant because when you want something bad enough, you begin to see reminders pretty much everywhere you go. If you’re still seeing signs, it means you’re still on the right track.

Check in with yourself today. Xx
