#NaPoWriMo Day 29: Hope In The Hopeless.

In a world that seemingly only implodes,
And burns, and destructs,
Like the cosmos itself–
Even from light-years away from us,
Here I stand on the planet we call the Earth,
And here I plant a garden in the memory of Hope.

Hope, for kindness,
Hope, for resilience,
Hope, for peace,
And perhaps a better world.
But all this world we call our home does
Is implode, and burn, and destruct.

Someday, I fear, it won’t be enough
To tend to my garden of Hope,
But there are beautiful things here yet,
Like flowers and sunsets, and spray of tides,
And music, and poetry, and a stranger’s smile–
Perhaps that should be enough.

Once again, I have chosen to stay off the prompt given today, but it’s something I just felt like I needed to get out of my system.

I’ve had a long day, and I don’t really have a lot to say today because I’ve had a pretty long work day. But I am equally relieved and crushed that NaPoWriMo season is coming to an end soon. Can’t believe it’s already the last day tomorrow. I don’t know where the month has gone, but it has been such a lovely experience to be writing on this blog once again. I have missed it so dearly.

See you tomorrow for one last poem, for a while?

Yours truly,
The Shubhster.

If you like my poem, please do leave a comment or follow my blog! I write a lot of random but interesting stuff, and I try to keep it real. I’d love it if you went ahead and checked out more of my work, while you’re still here. If you think someone you know would appreciate the things I write, feel free to share my page with them! You can also reach out to me on my Twitter or Instagram handles. I always appreciate seeing new people come up to me and tell me they like what I write! It doesn’t happen as often as I would like for it to, but let’s change that, maybe?
This has been day 29 of 30!
See you tomorrow?
Cheerio! Xx
