There’s Always Room For More.

A couple of days ago, I heard the drafted versions of the songs on folklore by Taylor Swift and I wondered why on earth she didn’t go with those lyrics because they were so beautiful. But now that I am in the same situation, looking at some of my own work that needs to be polished, I find that there is so much room there for improvement. I have so many more things to say and I feel like I could have done better initially.

But one thing is for certain, there is always, always, more room for improvement, no matter what you are doing and how accomplished you are at it. Learning is continuous and we keep learning as long as we have an open mind and are willing to learn more than we already have. We cannot possibly think that what we know is all that there is to it.

Curiosity works in different ways and it always, always leads to learning. I think the saying ‘curiosity killed the cat’ is a little overrated and a whole lot misleading because even the curious cat that died probably took away a lesson or two from whatever killed it. Just saying! Every single thing that went sideways for us probably had a lesson hidden in there, and whether we realized that or not, we have definitely learned something from it.

So, yeah. That’s the little realization that I had today.

Once again, I am terribly sorry for the short, incredibly late post. But I swear there are better things I have in store.
