Today’s prompt via napowrimo.net is to write about something small.
My mind immediately came up with this little, very wholesome scene in my head, and I decided to write a sonnet about it. You can interpret it as you see fit.
Also, please go check out my friends’ pages, Kittu’s Modern Mixtape, and Amour Infini. They’re wonderful writers and you’ll love their works!
Happy reading! Xx
It’s the barest of whispers,
This thing between us,
Unspoken,
Unnamed–
And the smallest movement, I fear
Will scare it away.
In the quiet of dawn,
When things are most fragile,
I muster up the courage
To tell you what’s on my mind–
But I like our little moments,
So the words fade and die:
‘I love you, I love you, I love you–’
Then I wake up, and remain silent.
