Fun Conversations.

Yesterday, in a really random conversation with two of my best friends, both of whom are bloggers (Kittu’s Modern Mixtape Lockdown Cookdown), we brought up the topic of our blogs. Suddenly, good ideas started flying around and we found ourselves coming up with some really amazing ideas for the content on each others’ blogs. I think that it is so cool that my three closest friends (the other one is Amour Infini, by the way!) are all bloggers. They all have such unique writing styles and such a beautiful take on things, I cannot help but admire how we keep each other motivated to keep writing new content.

People keep asking me how I come up with new topics to write about and a huge part of the credit goes to my best friends. I’ve always taken cues for my writing from the conversations that I have with my best friends because, even when we’re just talking about the most random things, we always end up discussing things that make for great blogging content here. I think that having friends who are up for such discussions is a great advantage, as a writer, because you get so many unique takes on life.

I’m not necessarily looking for inspiration when I’m talking to my friends because I know that if I dig way too deep, the flow won’t come to me as naturally as it is supposed to. The best ideas always come to me as naturally as the river flows into the sea; so, of course, the path is rocky as Hell! But I wouldn’t be out here doing this if I didn’t challenge myself to keep at least one thing that I started going. Luckily, my best friends have always been very supportive and they keep the good topics coming, even in between the silliest conversations.

To everyone who keeps asking me how I get the inspiration to write every single day and how I find the topics to talk about over here, I suggest you focus on your conversations with the people around you. You never know what you might end up with. The best ideas always hide under our noses, waiting to be discovered. There’s only so many good ideas that our minds can come up with. But when you constantly exchange ideas and brainstorm with your friends, inspiration hits you out of nowhere.

You just have to wait for the right idea to hit you at the right moment.

Cheerio! Xx
