#NaPoWriMo Day 12: Scrawled.

Scrawled all over the walls of my heart

Is your name hidden in a million flowers,

And though we may be far apart,

Scrawled all over the walls of my heart,

Is my love for you, a work of art,

One that shall forever be ours–

Scrawled all over the walls of my heart

Is your name hidden in a million flowers.

Today’s prompt via napowrimo.net was to write a triolet, which is a short poem with only 8 lines, where the first, fourth and seventh lines are the same, the second and last lines are the same, and the poem itself follows a very tight rhyme scheme. I’ve tried micropoetry before, but this is something very new to me. But hey, there’s always a first time, am I right?
