Hey, guys!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had one beautiful Saturday and I’ll talk about it tomorrow. But for today, as always, it’s going to be some more of my Sijo. It is so refreshing to attempt writing any after the day I’ve had, but it’s amazing what you can do with such little words.
Anyway, if you want to read more of the Sijo I’ve written on this site, you can find them all here.
For now, sit back and enjoy! Xx
STAINED
You’ve inked me and left me stained,
in the colours that were once yours,
Stains that I can never erase,
I’ll carry them forevermore;
As they blend
into the colours I am,
no vibrance and all scars.
OURS
Rains of the past
still lash out fury,
we’re drenched to the bone,
Drowning in our eternal shame,
never knowing any better–
It was ours to keep,
ours to lose,
and when lost,
it was ours to mourn.
STORY
Words dance in dainty steps,
I still search for the ground beneath,
Forever shifting,
and I’m stumbling,
trying to stay on my feet;
I’m wounded from too many falls,
still writing my own story.
PARADISE
I found my way to Paradise,
wrapped in a million clouds,
Miles of green stretched vast,
as far as my eyes could see,
please carry me–
To a place I’d never leave,
yellow fields embraced in green.
THREATENING
Eyes threatening to give up on me,
and I only want you more,
Eyes greedy for your smile,
as greedy as they are for your soul,
But you are a dream,
it does not do to dwell,
so I let you go.
