Another Lost, Another Gained.

It’s hilarious to me how we think we are so close to making all our problems disappear, sometimes, but when we see how much we actually have to solve to get ourselves the woods, we discover that there is so much more than we could have ever imagined. Sometimes, things are not going to go as planned. Sometimes, things are going to get way worse before they can get better.

What can we do about it, then?

For starters, we can try to not take it upon ourselves to solve every single problem we are faced with. It’s simply not the way things work. We cannot will all of our problems to go away.

Think of it like this: when you put off your laundry long enough, what can you do? You definitely cannot dumpĀ all your clothes in the washer together. Instead, you put your clothes in the machine in batches. Because attempting to tackle it all together is only going to prove to be counter-productive. Someone needs to tell people more often that we don’t need to be in control all the time. It’s okay to let go of control and see where it takes you.

When I look back at how much I need to catch up with, it makes my eyes water because there isĀ no way I’m going to be able to do all that. But if I didn’t start somewhere, I would never know.

There is so much going on, lately, and I’ve barely had the time to write anything at all. But I’ll work on it, just one step at a time for now because I’m afraid it will all overwhelm me quickly if I try to take on too much at the same time. It’s important for all of us to acknowledge our limits and let ourselves get back to things whenever we feel its best for us.

I guess I’ll just see where this goes. Maybe new problems will pop up. Maybe not. Xx
