Storms.

Clouds of dust rise as I walk,
Never been just “one of those,”
Nor one to settle.
I know when to stay low
Like the calm before the storm.
Unpredictable, unstoppable.
My inner hurricanes are safe,
Locked away in the darkest parts of me,
Slowly churning oceans,
Gathering grey clouds,
Waiting to be let loose.
I’ve learnt to befriend this tempest,
I have for a while now.
I’ve made peace with my inner madness,
Unleashed it every now and then,
I’ve been kicking up a storm,
Everywhere I go
And because I can.
I bring chaos with me,
The gust of wind just follows.
