I have been running around from one place to another for the last three days, and the only kind of sleep I’ve been getting is on train seats and car seats. All this travelling and the lack of proper network has made it extremely hard for me to write everyday, but I am trying my very best to keep up, even though it seems like a very exhausting task at the moment.
In the last week, I’ve learned a few good lessons from being around a whole bunch of people. The most important lesson of them is that we should never expect people to show the same kindness that we’ve showed them in the past. The reason? They don’t owe you that kindness for whatever reason, and expecting them to do so just leads to disappointments of all kinds. Sometimes, it’s better that we rely on ourselves.
Now that the serious talk is out of the way, let me talk about the more important things such as how important it is for us to show ourselves the kindness the world has failed to show us. It’s extremely hard to do so, but if we don’t do it for ourselves, who else will? Listen to your body, drink enough water, let yourselves get the rest you deserve after how hard you’ve been working. Take care of your overall well-being, even if it means you need to switch off your personal life for a while and focus on sleeping in as much as you need. I don’t think we do enough of that because nobody seems to think that it is important.
As for me, I’m going to be sharing tidbits from my crazy, tight schedule, in between my travels, whenever possible. I don’t think anybody is reading these, but for whoever is visiting this page to read my blog posts, hello!
I hope you’re taking care of yourself and being to kind to yourself today. Xx
