Is Anyone Still Here?

*Shows up here after a whole year with… not Starbucks in her hand* WELL HELLO!

I have certainly been away from this safe-haven for my feelings for the longest time and way too much has happened in the time I have been gone. I honestly wouldn’t even know where to begin if I wanted to. Things have literally changed by the day, ever since I decided to take a break from this blog of mine. I don’t necessarily mean in the best way, but it hasn’t been the worst either.

I honestly have way too many mixed feelings about this. Phew.

So, anyway! As you all know, my favourite time of the year EVER, NaPoWriMo starts tomorrow! I am super excited for it, as usual, even though I must admit I am extremely rusty after the year I have spent away from any personal writing of my own. I have certainly tried my best to gather my thoughts enough to write things here, but knowing that I didn’t have to be on a writing streak has been… liberating, to say the least.

As some of you, who have followed me, already know, I had maintained a streak of 1000 days of writing regularly on this blog for the longest time. You can imagine a routine like that must take up quite some time, and eventually, people do run out of things to say.

I ran out of perspectives about the world because I was trying to figure out a bunch of stuff.

Now that I’ve had some time away, and now my hands are typing all of these things here, I wonder why I ever stopped writing here because it’s something that feels the most natural to me. It’s almost like second-nature. I cannot describe the sense of peace that writing here has brought back to me. I never realized how much I needed to come back to this.

It feels good to be here. Maybe I’ll talk more about what I’ve been upto for the last year, after NaPoWriMo is done. But for now, I just wanted to come back here and say ‘Hey, it’s been a while. But I am back.’

And on that note,
HEY! It’s been a while, but I am back.

Hopefuly, I’ll stay longer, this time round.
