Day one:
I ran right past you.
I tried smiling but decided not to.
Do I know you?
You look so familar, maybe I do.
I simply go on with the run.
Day two:
You weren’t there,
Not that I particularly care;
I’m not stalking you, I swear!
But I feel a connection so rare.
And I’m not sure you do.
Day three:
Still no sign.
But it’s okay, it’s fine,
I don’t want to cross a line.
I just thought you were a friend of mine.
Maybe not, I now see.
Day four:
Pretty sure they were in my head,
All the signs I’d read
Led me nowhere instead.
It’s such a shame, we could have been friends.
I guess not anymore.
A whole week later,
I let the thought of you go.
You never did show,
But this I know,
We could have been friends for sure.
If only I had talked to you earlier.

Hey everyone! In the spirit of National Poetry Writing Month, I will be writing some poems for every day of April. Each Day will have a new prompt. I hope I can keep up with the challenge. You can join me in celebrating #NaPoWriMo 2019 and check out the prompts here. I’ll look forward to hearing from you.
Yours truly,
The Shubhster.
Yes you are going good all the best 💙🤗🤗
