You’re on My Mind Again.

Just another moonrise,
And I’m all alone again—
Alone with nothing but thoughts of you,
Did I mention, the Moon is beautiful tonight,
With vanilla rays on inky midnight skies?
It’s no surprise you’re on my mind again,
And I’m wondering if I’m on yours too,
Keeping you awake ’til dawn’s early light.

Time has been a kind illusion,
We’ve kept our heads, though far apart.
We’re slaves to the dance of the Moon and Sun—
How the days have gone! Heaven only knows.
You’re on my mind yet again,
And you have all of my loving heart,
Bewitching my senses, one by one,
We’re obsessed with this love and it shows.

Not a cure in the world for this sickness,
Although I’m convinced I don’t need the remedy.
If Love is a crime; it’s as harmless as can be,
The perfect crime and we have all been guilty.
We’ll make something up,
We’ll give them a reason too:
You’ve been on my mind again, my love—
As far as reasons go, that one should do.
