Sometimes, it really takes me a whole five days’ worth of effort crammed into a single day to realize that I can push my limits a lot more than I realize. We are all capable of doing things that are much bigger than we think we are capable of. We don’t often get the chance to explore that part of ourselves because we constantly doubt whether we would be able to do something that is much bigger than anything we have tackled before.
But the truth is that we don’t often get a chance to prove to ourselves how much more resilient we have become over time. We don’t get to test our limits on the regular because we don’t see ourselves grow overnight. It happens over a long period of time and the changes happen slowly. We have to be patient with ourselves enough to allow ourselves to grow.
Until then, what else can we do except give things our very best? We might as well give it all we’ve got and leave the rest up to all the hard work we have put into things. Sometimes, we cannot determine what the outcome is going to be, but we can control the input and let ourselves decide whether we want to half-ass things and expect a miracle, or truly work for what we want and then leave things upto however the chips may crash and burn.
Allow yourselves to grow, but never give things anything but your best. And if you ever find yourselves in a spot where you think you’ll be unable to be your best, give yourselves the time to snap out of it.
You’ll get there eventually. Just give yourselves the time. Xx
