To Whoever Needs This…

On certain days, we have random bursts of productivity, and we can go an entire day without food or water, trying to complete five days’ worth of tasks within one. It’s not impossible. But on those days, we run on pure inspiration and adrenaline. On others, we find it difficult to bring ourselves to do even the simplest of tasks, and as a result, we keep putting off on doing them until we absolutely need to. Some might say that one is better than the other.

However, there’s no right or wrong approach to life.

It’s the same logic as growing up and realizing that the adults around us had no idea what they were doing, back when they were around our age, either. Everyone finds a way to figure things out, or stumbles around until they do. There’s no kind of a time-limit on these things because life begins differently and takes different directions for all of us. It’s like walking around an entirely new city with only a map to guide you on where you need to go; and even then, the map could be wrong sometimes.

So don’t be too harsh on yourself if you feel as though you haven’t been doing enough lately. Maybe you’re just in need of some inspiration, but that doesn’t mean that you’ve lost all passion for whatever you do. Sometimes, we’re all just exhausted and there’s no way around it.

It might feel, for a little while, as though we’re all losing our minds, but it is really just the exhaustion and the feeling of being backed into a corner talking. There’s only so many things one can carry on their plates. Some can carry more than the others, but that’s not something that can be compared because everyone has been given different plates and different things to carry.

Be nice to yourself today. You’re already doing so much to hang in there. Xx
