Mosaic.

I always get asked who has been the biggest influence on the person I am today. I could very well take the easy route and say that it was my parents because they raised me. But that’s only half true. In fact, there are so many names that I can think of, I’ve decided that the answer to the question isn’t just a single person or incident in general.

It’s easy to give all the credit to just one person who has influenced me the most. But how do you measure something as important as the impact that people have left on your life?

Which is why, I like to think of myself as a very unique sum total of the impact that really amazing people I’ve met along the way have made in my life, people who’ve constantly had my back, as well as some life-changing incidents that have made me change my perspective for the better.

I don’t think any of us is the same person we were a year ago. You know what they say about change being the only constant. But in spite of all that change, we are left with the older pieces of us, somehow perfectly coexisting alongside the new. Some pieces fall out over time only to be replaced by the newer ones.

And that’s what we are. We’re all beautiful artworks of mosaic, each one unique and colourful. And we owe a part of that to the people who have been in our lives. Remember that!

Cheerio! Xx
