Looking in a Mirror.

07th June, 2019

“Dear Diary,
Today, I’ve been thinking about how much I have yet to grow. And of course, life is all about unlearning, learning and growth, but every time I look into the mirror, al I can see if how far I’ve come from being a heartbroken little girl who struggled to come to terms with herself. I’ve been thinking about everything I’ve learnt and how grateful I’ll be for everyone who has left me with memories and lessons to be learnt.”

Take a good, long look into the mirror. Who do you see? You’re not the same person you used to be. You’ve grown so much; it’s a new you, down to your skin cells.

Maybe it was a person or an incident, but it left us all with something that shaped the kind of person we are today. These are the lessons that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives, or more likely until we hone our personalities further. The point is, we’re beings of change and learning comes as a part of it.

I’m so grateful for the kind of people I surround myself with. Warm, supportive, ambitious, loving, kind-hearted, and fun. People that I can learn and grow with. They’re the kind of family that goes beyond blood. I’m so glad that when I think about what I have learnt over time, I can quote the people closest to me instead of some random person I discovered on Goodreads or something.

But most of all, I am grateful for being able to learn every step of the way, and unlearn to remake myself into a stronger and better person than I used to be. And clearly, I’ve got a long way to go.

All of us do. So let’s look inwards?

Cheerio! Xx

Hey guys, I hope you liked today’s post. For day 7, I had to write about something that I am grateful for about myself. I would love to hear what you’re grateful for in the comments below, you know, because we’re talking gratitude and all? I’ll look forward to hearing from you!
Yours truly,

The Shubhster.
