You know how they say that actions speak louder than words? Well, that holds true when it comes to love as well. While not every little thing may matter, it really is the little things that hold a significance over the grand romantic gestures.
Love is all around is, but we often fail to see it because the words ‘I love you‘ are barely uttered anymore meaningfully. But what if I told you that there were other ways to tell somebody that you love them with all of your heart, instead of just saying ‘I love you‘?
You can see it in the way your best friend hugs you when you haven’t seen them in so long, or in the way your Mom always covers you with a blanket when you’ve fallen asleep without one, or when she lets you sleep in when you’ve had a long day. Love shows in the little things that we do for the people in our life. How we observe their little quirks, likes, and dislikes, and how we make something meaningful of it. It’s truly a way of life.
Always look out for those tiny gestures, my friend. Actions of people who mean a lot to us do not go unnoticed. It might also be in the way they make sure that you don’t go to sleep hungry, or maybe in the way you find your favourite pack of chocolates on your desk (now how did that happen?), or sometimes even in the way the anger stems purely out of concern when you fall sick.
There are a million little ways through which people can actually convey that they love you without saying out loud. All you have to do is be sensitive enough to absorb these little signals and gestures and most importantly be grateful for them. Understand that they might not really express their feelings the way you do; do not stop yourself from expressing your feelings your own way.
That being said, we can’t just sit inside our delusional little bubbles and think that everything is alright when chances are that there actually might be an issue. The signs always help you, trust me, you just get to know somehow. Always trust your gut in these situations. You should also keep in mind that, when you are looking out for signs from that particular person, it is always necessary that you do your part fairly and unconditionally.
The key point is to NOT expect, because honey, expectations almost always bring disappointments. Loving is a lot of hard work, but it is also the most natural thing in this world. Just because the love you give isn’t reciprocated right away, doesn’t mean it won’t ever be. The Universe always demands a balance; so all the love you send out will find its way back to you. I promise you that!
Keep spreading love, and look out for the little signs. You’re all so, so loved; you just have to understand that there’s a lot more to love than just ‘I love you’.
