I cannot believe that it has been a whole month since I did one of these weekend QnAs! I had originally planned to do them every single weekend, but things don’t really seem to go according to plan for any of us, do they?
Then again, c’est la vie, I guess!
I really do miss actually interacting with people, though, and I don’t just mean on my social media platforms. I really miss doing interactive posts on the blog, as well. But I just haven’t been able to round up on a topic that is good enough to be doing an interactive post on!
Anyway! As usual, I have picked out a bunch of questions that you guys asked, that really stood out to me, and I decided to answer them properly here!
These are the questions from this week!
1. When you paint, do you start out by sketching with a pencil or do you go in directly with paint?
I know a lot of people who go directly in with the paint, but unfortunately, I don’t happen to be one of them. I need to make a line-art before I go in with the paint and then add the details after I’m done painting the whole thing. That doesn’t count for my digital art, though, because I directly go in with the colour.
2. Tell us something that you’re looking forward to.
I have two road trips coming up in the next couple of weeks and I am very excited because it has been an incredibly long time since we’ve been on one. It’s definitely a shift in the pace and I am very grateful for it because I hate feeling stuck in a place. I am also going to be spending a few days at my hometown and I am looking forward to the food stalls and the winter!
3. What is something that annoys you the most these days?
Like I already said, I feel like I have been stuck in a loop for a really long time now and I feel like I need a change or a little break from this routine, and I am glad that it is coming up very soon for me. But that doesn’t change the face that I am 200 kinds of done with the way everything seems to be at a standstill, at this very moment. Here’s to change, though!
4. Do you think you’ll take a break from writing soon?
I just might! I have been going at this for over 600 days now and I think that it’s best if I step away for a while and gather my thoughts to get some new ideas because I don’t want to make myself very repetitive here. That’d be boring. I might be stepping away for a couple of days from the whole writing deal because I am going to be travelling, but I have a bunch of my best friends stepping in for me, so the blog will still be on schedule.
5. How do you decide on a topic to write about?
I have a lot of thoughts and I don’t think that it’s healthy to keep them all bottled up. My posts are usually about what I a going through in that very moment. I am glad that I have an outlet here and I am glad that I can write things that are relatable to people and if what I write can make people feel like they’re not alone in all of this, then I think it needs to be on the blog.
6. What’s on top of your bucket list?
At the moment, I would want nothing more than to publish my book. But I don’t know when it will happen, although, I hope it’s pretty soon! Fingers crossed.
7. What is one thing you cannot stand?
I cannot stand people being a snob about art. To me, art is art, no matter what form it is in. So, people who claim that a certain form of art is superior to another don’t sit right with me.
That’s all the questions for this week. I hope to do more of these posts soon so that I can answer more questions that come my way!
Until next time,
The Shubhster. Xx
