I’m having one of those days where everything happens way too fast and your brain is so exhausted from processing all that information that you find yourself falling asleep. And when you finally wake up, you have a hard time believing that the day has still not ended and you’ve still got time to catch up with things.
I watched my cousin get married to a man who looks at her as if she hung the stars in the sky; maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit, but it’s only fair because it took me every ounce of will-power to not burst into tears when they got married. I am very proud of myself for not crying today, and this is coming from somebody who cries watching every sappy, predictable rom-com ever. I think I’m going to burst with all the happiness and I’m unapologetic about it.
So, when I woke up somewhere in the middle of the drive on the way back home, I had to remind myself that my day began at the butt-crack of dawn today and that I had been a part of a very happy celebration. I had somehow acquired 30 new members in my extended family when, in fact, I had originally planned to stick to my cousin’s side like a koala during the entire wedding. I ended up socializing; who’d have thought, right?
This whole day has been unreal and I still have about four hours and something left of it, and I am planning to spend it watching Taylor Swift’s new documentary and sketching something new because it has been ages! I also have a bunch of texts to get to because I have been too busy to check my phone properly in these last couple of days!
Chop, chop, chop! I hope you’re having a great weekend!
