10 Songs on My Feel-Good Playlist: Part 2.

Almost everyone I know loves turning to music for comfort or confidence and it makes so much sense because listening to good music is one of the best ways to practice self-care. And why not? Time and again, science has proven how beneficial music can be to our health.

How amazing is it that something like music can activate every known part of our brain? Apparently, playing or listening to music can make you smarter, healthier, happier and more productive. But scientifically proven or not, I know that music is one of the most important parts of our everyday lives.

Personally, I cannot function without music; I just need it playing, even if it’s in the background. So, when I think of self-care, music is on top of the list of things that can make my day better. In fact, I compiled a few feel-good songs for you, just in case you need some good music to brighten up your day. You can go check it out right here, or on my Instagram highlights, in case you want more recommendations!

When I was busy writing yesterday’s post, my brother mentioned that one playlist with just 10 songs wasn’t enough, and he suggested that I do a part 2.  For today’s playlist, I chose to include some really underrated music that definitely deserves more praise. So, here I am, yet again, compiling another playlist full of feel-good songs that I’m hoping everybody can enjoy.

1. Thumbs- Sabrina Carpenter
First of all, sick beats! Love them! It’s just the right amount of groove to keep me going. Second, this is such an underrated song. If you listen closely, this song is a commentary on the way the world works and a comical way of telling us to break away from routine, because why fit in when you can stand out?

2. Swan Song- Dua Lipa
For those who aren’t familiar, the term ‘Swan Song‘ means the final performance in a person’s career. But before the title can get your spirits down, let me clarify that this song is Motivation personified. It makes me push myself harder to fight for the kind of legacy I want to leave behind because I refuse to believe that what I do today will be the last thing I ever get to do.

3. Higher- The Score
Another underrated song on my playlist! On days when you feel like the world is too much for you, this song will make you feel like you’re too much for this world. If you’re updating your workout playlist, then this should absolutely be on it. If you fall, this song just might make you want to get up and get going again.

4. Confident- Demi Lovato
Now I know that this is definitely not an underrated song, but it’s one that will make you show yourself a lot more self-love, right from the very moment you play it. I won’t lie when I say that I can feel things exploding behind me in slow-motion as I walk away every time I play this song!

5. No Tears Left to cry- Ariana Grande
If you’re ever sick and tired of all the negativity in the world, and all you want to do is be a unicorn in spite of all the hate, then this is the song for you! To me, this song is about not letting the haters and naysayers get to me, no matter how hard their words try to hit home. A feel-good song in every sense.

6. Scream My Name- Tove Lo
A lot of the music on my playlist is from really good soundtracks. This one in particular, from ‘The Hunger Games‘ is about being bold in the face of adversity, even if it means that you probably won’t get the happy ending that you always wanted. It’s a song that makes me suck it up and give things my best shot.

7. I Want It All- Ashley Tisdale & Lucas Grabeel
Every time I dare to dream big, this song screams ‘Think BIGGER‘ in my head. I don’t think that some of the tracks from High School Musical get the praise they deserve. There is nothing wrong with having a dream that reaches out for the stars, and this song makes me work for the big, larger-than-life picture that I have in my head.

8. Young Volcanoes- Fall Out Boy
If you’re looking for a victory song to hype you up right before you’re about to head to a big competition or interview, this song will make you feel like a winner. It’s about celebrating the journey, not the destination (not that the destination doesn’t matter). So if you ever want to hype yourself up for something, consider this maybe?

9. you should see me in a crown- Billie Eilish
This is the song you should go to when you feel like taking charge of something because you know you’re going to rock at it. If there’s anybody who can do a certain task, it should be you, and if that’s the way you feel, then definitely listen to this song. It has given me the strength I didn’t even know I had.

10. Unstoppable- The Score
I will be honest, this song makes me feel like I’m a force to be reckoned with. You know that feeling in your very core that makes you feel like you were born for a certain moment in your life? This is the song that will make you feel like the world is yours to take on.

The problem with curating limited lists is that I miss out on so much more good music that I just cannot recollect at this moment. Nevertheless, I really hope you like these songs. Whether you add them to your hype playlist, feel-good playlist, workout playlist, or whatever you think feels right, I hope that these songs become a part of you all, as much as they are a part of me now.

Keep your head in the clouds, kids!

Cheerio! Xx
