The End of the World.

False alarm, right?

Now, I’m not going to say that maybe you should look forward to tomorrow or that you should hold on to hope because the truth is that a lot of us aren’t really in the right headspace to do so. So, maybe it was just easier to think that the world was going to end today. But surprise, surprise! That didn’t happen. And let’s be real, nobody actually believed that it was going to happen, either. Whether we like it or not, the world is neither going to end this easily nor is it going to end anytime soon.

fake news

So the best we can all do is hope that we prepare ourselves for whatever battle it is that lies ahead. Nobody knows what it’s going to be tomorrow and there’s no surefire way of figuring things out for the future. When you think about it, no matter how much plan, our ideas for the future are nowhere close to a solid plan; they’re vague outlines at best and close to non-existent at their worst. You can argue saying that you have it all figured out for whatever comes next, but do you really? Give it some thought.

conceited yeah right

Besides, is being resigned to the idea of apocalypse really the way we’re going to deal with the much bigger issues at hand? You know what? Don’t answer that. Because I know what the answers are going to be. Most people will tell you that it would have been better if the world ended right away because there’s way too much going on and it’s tiring us all out. But if that were to be the case, wouldn’t all the efforts we’re putting into making this world a better place be in vain? Don’t you want to see this through?

another day of hell

Again, I’m not giving anybody any reasons to look forward to tomorrow. I don’t want to be that person because I have no idea about what a lot of people are going through right now, internally. And I definitely am not somebody who can comment on it because I’m not qualified to do so. All I’m asking of you is to not give up everything to the point of wanting the world to end. So this year has been a garbage dump with one thing after another! But you’re still here, alive and kicking, aren’t you?

you're here

You made it this far. So what makes you think you aren’t strong enough to deal with all the things that you’ve been putting away because you expected the world to go up in flames today? Remember that it always seems like the hardest thing you’ll ever do until you finally go ahead and do it. For what it’s worth, the fact that you’re still here and trying to make it through (yes, even if you’re whining and procrastinating the Hell out of it) says a lot about you. Of course, we’re all tired, but believe me when I say that none of us is that tired of things yet. And no, I don’t mean to invalidate those who are genuinely going through something, but here’s hoping that you make it out of that too!

So, sorry about that false alarm that I’m sure you’re whining about on your social media, I guess! But don’t tell me you didn’t see it coming, because you totally did! At least now you get a nice laugh out of it.

Cheerio! Xx
