“You know that feeling that comes when you feel the beat of the music all the way down to your toes, and somewhere along the way, you find your head bobbing with the rhythm and your feet tapping? You know that feeling when you feel like drowning yourself in the music because, in that moment, you don’t need air; it’s the music you need?
You know that feeling when you’re reading a book and you’re physically unable to hold yourself back from flipping the page? You can see the characters come to life in your head and you don’t want to snap back to reality so soon once the book ends. You know that feeling of dread that washes over you when you realize that there aren’t so many pages left and that you’re going to have to leave the story behind very soon?
You know that feeling when you’re watching something and you don’t even realize that you’re shaking with sobs because something hit you really hard? Or the feeling when you’re laughing out loud until your stomach hurts because something you watched was so funny?
You know that feeling when you hold a paintbrush one minute and then have paint smeared everywhere a while after? You know that feeling when you’re done making a piece of art and you have to peel your eyes away because you’ve been admiring it for way too long? The feeling when you actually see people admiring your work?
You know that feeling when you find yourself so immersed in art that it takes you days, if not weeks, to snap back to the real world? How beautiful it is to be able to love and appreciate art to its fullest! How wonderful it is to enjoy the things that were meant to be an escape from reality!
You know that feeling?”
