Yes. I Create.

“Dear Diary,
The more I read, the more I feel like I have more worlds to explore. And of course, as a wide-eyed teenager, I got lost in them. And as a 21-year-old, I still believe in all kinds of magic, and most of all, the magic that words can create. I’ve always wanted to do something like that. Something that can tell people that it is okay to dream, to believe in the impossible, to find tiny paper windows as an escape from the exhausting realities of every day. Someday soon, I will!”

The whole world seems to revolve around the concept of creation, to the extent of having the term ‘Creator’ on our bios on our social media handles. The whole world is filled with people who want to see fresh content every single day, as a means to look at the outside world that is often out of their reach. Writing, to me, is a way of bringing a tiny window to a beautiful, imaginary world to somebody who is eager enough to seek it out. I know I used to be one of those people, and somewhere along the way, I started to see myself as somebody who could create new worlds.

Of course, it’s all very much under wraps and I can’t wait to see where my story goes either, but I can tell you that I am extremely proud and very grateful that I create with words. You see, that’s the beauty of writers: we don’t exactly live in this world. Physically, maybe! But we want to see past the way the world really is, and it’s something that I have always admired about all kinds of content creators out there.

Different kinds of creators have different kinds of gifts. Some capture moments, some paint with all the colours of the wind, and the ones like me? We like to make people see worlds of endless possibilities in their heads.

I am a creator. And I love every single aspect of it!
