Holding Out for Hope.

A couple of months ago, my best friend and I decided that we would go on a trip together, to a place that we both absolutely love. But of course, we have plans larger than life itself and as it turns out, we might have bitter a lot more than we can chew because there are way too many places that we want to see in the very short time that we are supposed to cram everything into. And as it happens, there was one particular site that I definitely wanted to visit, but because it’s too far away. Naturally, I was a little bummed out about that.

But yesterday, my best friend sent me a tiny snippet that showed a similar site which looked a lot like the actual place that I wanted to shoot photos at. And she also left me texts saying that we should have hope and not give up, even when we have reasons to. She said that we shouldn’t give up on ourselves ever. It made my day! Made me realize that sometimes, the possibility of something happening can look pretty bleak. Because sometimes, the best things come to us when we least expect them.

effie

I think that a lot of us have started this year on a pretty low note. Maybe things have gotten better for you by now. We are two weeks in already! I wouldn’t know how things are playing out. I hardly know what’s going to happen tomorrow. But what I do know is that even though we have little to no control over the events that may or may not unfold in the near future. But what we can do is hold on to hope that it’s going to get better. Eventually. No matter how unbelievable it seems at the moment.

snape unfair

Maybe things aren’t looking up for you at the moment. I have no idea. But from what I know, things do get better if you hold on to the hope that they will. The world is a mirror and our thoughts are boomerangs. What you send out comes back to you, one way or another. So if you feel like you need to take a beat and make sure you’re ready to face the world again, do it. Do everything that you need to, to get better. But don’t lose hope because that’s the one thing that can work wonders.

smell the roses

Who knows what’s headed our way? Would be such a shame if we gave up after making it this far, wouldn’t it? I know it can hurt to hold on to hope. But when it’s real and when your gut tells you that you should, you hold on and you hold on tight.

Better things are coming our way. We just need to believe that they are.

Cheerio! Xx
