‘Ain’t My Fault’.

In the last month, I’ve noticed that there have been instances of people being called out for something that they haven’t even done in the first place. And yet, just so that everyone could move past the topic, these people have had to apologize for what wasn’t even their fault. I do not understand why people are so quick to jump to conclusions or why they don’t try to get to the root of the issue without actually blaming somebody who isn’t even at fault here. But, unfortunately, I do understand why some of us think that it’s better to apologize and let things slide instead of actually trying to prove ourselves to people who aren’t even really relevant.

Then again, I think all people need sometimes is somebody who can be a target. But this isn’t about those who have got nothing to do with us. People can and will talk anyway! And as scary as it is to think that there will always be people who do not think that you are a nice person, no matter what you do, there really isn’t anything you can do about it except going about your life as usual.

I can’t promise you that being accused of something that you haven’t done won’t hurt. Having been in that situation, I know for a fact that it has the power to make even the cleanest conscience feel as though there must have been some kind of a slip-up at some point in time. And that isn’t a good feeling because it makes you doubt yourself for a long, long time. There really isn’t anything that anybody can say or do to make you feel better in such a situation. But what I can promise you, though, is that the truth always comes out. One way or another.

truth always comes out

I don’t think I have too much to say about this. All we can do is brave the storm and know that people who really stand by us would never leave our side because they’re the ones who have been here all along. Things can get really bad sometimes, but that’s just the way life is! If you feel wronged at any point in time, know that we don’t and we can’t control what other people think of us. The best we can do is continue being our best selves because that’s the only thing that’s within the power we have.

You don’t always have to be strong. You don’t constantly have to prove yourselves to others either. Breathe!
