Hey everyone! Before I can move to the actual content on today’s post, I have some happy news to share. The Shubhster Blogs has been ranked in the Top 20 Lifestyle Blogs of Mumbai by Feedspot. This wouldn’t have been possible without your never-ending support. So, thank you for all the love you’ve shown for my content. Xx
Now, before you go ahead and make me feel like an idiot for believing in the concept of a person, or even multiple people who are destined to be in our lives, let me tell you that I share that kind of connection not only with my boyfriend but also with a couple of my best friends because they always seem to know whatever I think.
And what’s even more interesting is that we only get to spend a few hours, or a couple of days (if we’re lucky) together, in the entire year. One of the bummers of being in a long-distance relationship/ friendship is that you don’t get a lot of quality time with your loved ones. But on the up-side, you become incredibly perceptive and you can tell when something is wrong with them.
The reason why our concept of a ‘Soulmate’ is so flawed is that we expect the perfect fairytale romance. We fail to see the fact that sometimes, the ‘soulmate’ isn’t the person we fall in love with. It’s the best friend who is thinking of the same thing as you, no matter how far away they might be. Sometimes, it’s the sibling who doesn’t need an explanation to understand that you’ve been having a bad day.
Not all love is romantic, and romance cannot be taken as the basis for love. They’re such different things, and yet, they are often overlapping and pretty confusing. Simply put, romance is the more material part of it, while love is the real deal. And ‘soulmates’ are the real ones.
If they hype you up even for your smallest achievements, stick by you through the worst of times, and no love is lost even after all the time you spend apart, they’re your soulmate. And contrary to popular belief, a person can have more than one soulmate in your life. They’re the ones you’d fight for.
Hit them up. Tell them how much they mean to you, today and every day.
Cheerio! Xx
