I know it has been a while. A very long ‘while’. I’ve been upto a few things, a fair bit of travelling, a lot of reading etc. but not a whole lot of writing. I’m sorry if I haven’t been all that active for the longest time. There was just so much happening that I didn’t have the time to actually think of anything.
But not two hours ago, I found out that I had graduated B.A in English Literature with straight A’s, right after a few days of knowing that I had made it into the college of my choice for further studies. All of this brings me yet another step closer to my dreams and I couldn’t be any more grateful for that. So I think that life is going on pretty well, and I hope yours is, too.
I know that I have a long way to go, but the satisfaction of finally having made it to one more milestone in my journey to success is simply amazing. I have no words for it. The obvious question now is “What next? What are your plans?” and I’m not kidding when I say that I’ve heard it over a hundred times already. It’s as if everybody wants to know if I have the next few years of my life planned out. I have, but only to a certain extent.
The thing is, I don’t really have a plan set in stone. It’s more of a rough draft that I can edit as I go along. If you don’t have a proper plan either, don’t beat yourself up over it. It’s okay to take it easy and just go with it for a while. Just make sure that you don’t lose sight of what you want to achieve.
As long as you stay true to your goals and dreams, there is nothing in the world stopping you. The only mantra I followed was given to me by a very dear friend, and I follow it to this day: “What you want is only a little thinking away.” Be positive and have a little faith in yourself. You can do this– whatever it is that you want to achieve, be it short-term or long-term.
I’m a little nervous, and a lot psyched for the next step in my life. It’s definitely huge, exciting and I’m sure I’m going to learn loads from it. As for you wonderful people out there who are chasing dreams and challenging destiny: keep doing what you are doing and try to give yourself some credit for making it this far. You’re going to do just fine!
P.S: I promise, I’m going to come up with a lot of new content very soon! Thank you so much for being so patient with me. I am very grateful for all of you.
