So, in the blink of an eye, August is here!
I can hardly believe it because the past 4 months have gone by so quickly. But that could be because I immersed myself in writing so much, I probably didn’t focus on anything else. But new month, new content to write!
And a new theme for the content on my blog! August has always been about friendship to me, for as long as I can remember. Actually, every day should be about friendship, but in the spirit of Friendship Day quickly heading our way, I thought that it would be a great time to explore friendships this month, just the way I explored love all of last month.
I’ve always highly valued friendship because, whether by a stroke of bad luck or some terrible jinx, every single person I’ve deemed worthy of being a close friend has either moved away or lives a different city (or country). And while that has taught me a lot of patience, it has made me realize how important some bonds in life can be.
Somewhere along learning how to be a better friend from a distance, I also learned how to maintain a long-distance relationship. There are certain things that we only learn from certain experiences in life, and this happens to be one of those things. It has made me a better, more sensitive friend than I ever used to be.
They say that you don’t understand the value of something until it’s lost forever. And that scares me to death. It’s the reason why I value the friendships I’ve built in life. Each friend is a gem, unique unto their own; each gem mined in completely unlikely and different conditions. But gems have a price– my friends do not. They’re all priceless.
Exploring the bonds of friendship is a beautiful thing, and it’s not done too often because everyone is always too preoccupied with the idea of finding love. But they fail to realize that friendship is one of the purest kinds of love there will ever be.
I’m really looking forward to all the content I get to write this month. And I hope you all enjoy reading it just as much I love writing every single piece of content for you all!
Yours truly,
The Shubhster. Xx
Most precious relationships is friendship. Nurture it.
