High, High Hopes.

Lately, I feel as though every time I get myself to make art after a good long while, I have been biting off a lot more than I can chew by choosing something that is going to take me a long time to work on. Personally, I just think that this is because I want to keep pushing myself to do better, which is good. But because I am still learning digital art and I have very little experience with it, I just find myself lost and confused sometimes. Not that it’s stopping me from making any sort of art because I think I’m doing a fair job for a beginner.

It happens to everybody. Sometimes, we all just want to push ourselves outside our comfort zones for better results because, eventually, that is how you climb the ladder. Each step is going to be higher and slightly harder than before. But if we keep at it and if we keep working on making our way towards our goals, there is absolutely nothing stopping us. Except for the little voice in our heads that keeps saying, “Hey, maybe this isn’t your cup of tea! Maybe you should take it easy.”

But, to be honest with you, having sky-high hopes and trying to take on things that are way bigger than you is actually a pretty good way to train yourself to handle things even with your hands full. I know I usually say that taking baby steps towards your goals is a good thing, but don’t let anybody tell you that you have way too much on your plate to do something properly because that is never the case. You can do anything that you set your mind to! There will always be mountains that seem hard to scale from far away, but only when you start scaling them, you realize that it’s not that hard after all.

it was easy

Whether you can scale that mountain or not solely depends on how badly you want to do it. It always comes down to how determined you are. How big or small a challenge seems depends upon how we perceive them. So if you want to shoot for the stars, I say, ‘Right on!’ because you deserve to get everything you want out of your life as long as you’re willing to work for it. I’ll even say that you’ve earned it because you really have.

I’ve also come to realize that it is the projects that scare the life out of us that are the most fun and rewarding to work on. I once took up a job as a content writer for a resource website. And I have no background in business whatsoever. But the more I researched and the more I wrote for the site, I realized that it wasn’t really as scary as it seemed before. If I had to do it a couple of times more, I could probably do it again, but my heart lies in creative writing, so that’s where I’ll be.

As for you lot, I suggest that you do go easy on yourselves, but also don’t shy away from any kind of challenges that may come your way because you never know how much you’ll actually end up gaining from them. Having crazy high hopes is always a good thing and contrary to what a lot of people might tell you, you’re not actually asking for the moon.

Now go prove everyone wrong!

Cheerio! Xx
