Ease Back In.

There really is something about a really long nap that puts things into perspective. We could joke all about it being the human version of ‘have you tried turning it off and then switching it back on?’ but the fact is that naps always seem to work! I felt so drained and out of it yesterday and I feel a lot better, now that I’ve recharged myself with a long nap and got some wholesome food in me. So, I’m slowly trying to ease myself back into my writing schedule again.

one step at a time

Just a few minutes ago, when I checked the notifications on my blog, I noticed that a lot of you said that you could relate to what I had written about feeling drained after attending a wedding. I hadn’t planned making that post into something that could be relatable to anybody, but it turned out to be exactly that anyway! It makes me wonder how so many of us are going through similar things and how not all of us have the right words to express it all the time. There’s no way to tell how something you say could strike a chord with somebody. It really is one of the most unexpected things ever.

did not see that coming

As a person who just writes these slice-of-life posts on my blog, I don’t always expect people to relate to it, but somehow, you guys always do. I couldn’t ask for anything more than that, honestly! It surprises me every single time because when I started out here, I didn’t expect people to actually like my work. I wanted this site to be more like a journal of sorts. The fact that people even relate to what I write here and that they willingly make it a point to read my posts every single day makes me believe that what I do is not in vain. I cannot tell you how immensely grateful I am for every single one of you who keep me going.

thank you

I guess this is what people mean when they say that it’s extremely satisfying when you do what you love. The people around me can’t always understand why what I do means so much to me and I can’t always put the feeling into words. All I know is that I am glad I have this platform as an outlet and if whatever I write here has ever struck a chord with you, I am glad that you could relate and I am glad that whatever I wrote here helped you, even if it was just in the smallest way possible.

that felt goof

My advice to anybody who is looking for a reason why they should go after what they love to do is just that— that should be reason enough for you to do what you love; you’ll find a purpose eventually, anyway! It’s not always the easiest thing to do because people aren’t always the most supportive, but they’ll come around eventually, too!

Just hang in there. You got this, I promise!

Cheerio! Xx
