How nice it is to live inside our own cozy little bubbles, blissfully following the same routine every day. But also, how awfully predictable can it get!
This one right here happens to be my 60th blog post in a row, which means that I’ve been writing every day for almost two months now. And to be honest, I’m tired of trying to write about something ‘thought-provoking’ daily. After all, this was meant to be a diary of sorts but I guess I’ve strayed away for quite some time.
And I would like to do something about it!
I don’t want to be one of those bloggers who have nothing else to do except keep churning thoughtful content out to keep up with their ever-hungry audience. I want to make a few changes to my content starting next month… Isn’t that in, like, two days?
I want to go back to my ‘diary blog’ roots, while also maintaining a monthly theme for the blog. It is the whole reason I started this blog in the first place. I’m still working on what it could be, so if you have any ideas just let me know in the comments below, will you?
Now, this is where I would like to tell you all to break away from your daily routines, just a little bit every day. Sure, stepping out of our comfort zones can be a little harder than we would expect. Think of it the way we love burying ourselves under fluffy blankets and refuse to step out. But eventually, we all have to, because we have a life to get to and responsibilities that cannot be ignored.
I started straying from the routine the minute I decided that I was going to start jogging in the evenings— which is a big deal for somebody who isn’t too crazy about the whole fitness side of it all. I had grown comfortable in the way I had changed over time. See what I mean? But making this small change in my day has made my thoughts a lot clearer than they used to be and I’ve learnt to welcome this change wholeheartedly.
Let you in on a secret? It’s only hard the first time you step out. It’s like cold water; we get used to it over time. And maybe sometimes, a shift in perspective is all we need to figure out where we’ll go from here.
Life goes on, right? Try a better angle.
Cheerio! Xx
