Why We Need Love Now More Than Ever.

Almost every other day, I check my social media and a lot of news articles, the first thing I wake up in the morning, and every single day a piece of my heart feels like it has been ripped out in some cruel, twisted manner that I wouldn’t subject my worst enemy to.

We can joke around about the world ending all we want, but tell me this, aren’t you tired of all the hate that has been spreading like some kind of wildfire? Every day, I hope to hear some good news that will restore my faith in humanity, but I’m terribly let down.

They say ‘Don’t let the negativity get you down‘, but what happens when the world has become hateful to the extent of overpowering all the good in this world? Of course, the good always triumphs over evil. But it’s a little difficult to believe when the hate towards just about anything and anyone is considered ‘cool‘.

I wish I could tell you that love is the only solution to most problems today in a way that was actually believable. But every time I see people being kind to each other, doing little things to make this world a better place, it makes me want to believe just a little that maybe love can prevail, after all!

With everything going on, the root of all the evil in this world lies in hate. With a little bit of love, compassion, and kindness, maybe we can turn things around. We don’t even have to make a huge difference. Little steps can create such significant ripples, our mind cannot really comprehend. There is so much good we can do in this world instead of spending our short lives hating.

Here’s what I ask of all of you: when you have the opportunity to show love instead of hate, do it. Be kind. Be loving. Tell the people in your life that you love them, every chance you get. Every day, if you can help it. Treat everybody with the same respect that you would like yourself to be treated with. It’s not that hard, is it?

Maybe, just maybe, if we all started to spread love and positivity around, the good can really overpower all the bad that’s prevailing in this world right now.

We as humans have the power to do that, don’t we?
