I know that it’s probably too early in my life to be saying this, but through everything– every hardship, every city I’ve had to move to, every school I’ve attended, the friendships I’ve made along the way, every crush, every heartbreak, every ‘almost‘, every ‘what if?‘– one thing has been a constant. Love.
A lot of things in life are learned through our experiences. And chances are that if we’ve had a bad experience with love, our whole memory of it, our whole perspective about it goes sour. I’ve had a few terrible experiences that could have been enough for me to never put my faith in love of any kind ever again.
But, if anything, my faith in love was always reaffirmed by the people in my life, even though there were times when I felt as though I would never have the strength to love the people in my life again. In spite of having my doubts, I’ve come to realize that my love for life has been my driving force for as long as I can remember.
There is already enough hate and negativity in this world. And hate can do such horrible, twisted things to our mind. There was this video (link’s right here if you’re curious) we were shown in school, about water molecules subjected to negative and positive thoughts. Molecules subjected to negativity became toxic and deformed. Molecules subjected to positivity were beautiful and symmetric.
The point is that thoughts can be extremely powerful. We might not always understand how it works, but the manifestation of our thoughts in the Universe is a very real thing. This is why I choose to send out loving and positive vibes as much as I can. I don’t know how this is going to change the world, but even if it’s just in the tiniest way, I’m glad I could help.
I know that you guys might not think that love is a real force in this world, that it’s just a rose-coloured idea that pushes people to make some stupid decisions. But, it’s also so much more! I wish I was qualified enough to fully explain what a beautiful feeling it is, but you’ll just have to take my word for it for now.
Never stop loving. The Universe pays more attention to what you think than you know.
