Side-Effects to Love.

When we say that people in love are a ‘happier, cheesier and better version of themselves‘, turns out, there is a ring of truth to it. I can tell you that people who are more loving by nature are also happier and kinder by default. Blame it on all the oxytocin or whatever, but I’m pretty sure we’ve all seen it happen to at least one person we know.

Maybe it is a chemical reaction in our brain that causes us to feel so much better. Not that it’s contagious in itself, but it can be passed on to others when we show compassion. Not only does the love we show to people around us make them happy, it makes us feel so much better too!

Now that I think about, almost everybody around me believes in being a loving person. Of course, we’re not always happy and sunny because of the love we want to give to this world. Ups and downs are a part of life, but that has never stopped me or anyone I choose to keep in my life from loving ourselves or others.

I truly do believe that compassion is important. I believe that love can make this world a better, happier place. And I also promise you that all the loving vibes that you send out to the Universe will get back to you. It’s the way of the world, after all!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve randomly walked up to people and complimented them on their hairdo, or dress, or something that they’ve achieved. I don’t do it to make myself seem like a nice person. I do it because the smile that I get in return gives me the best feeling ever

Even if I can make someone happier by being kind for just a moment, it’s worth it. Nobody can ever comprehend what a person might be going through internally. And in such situations, if we can brighten up their day by showing just the tiniest bit of love, which costs nothing by the way, maybe this world wouldn’t be such a bad place to be.

So, the next time you feel something warm and fuzzy in your stomach that makes you happy, make sure you pass that feeling on by being warm to somebody. I can promise you that it feels like the best thing in the world.

If anybody asks, love is really that drug, and happiness is really that side-effect. It’s not a myth!

You should try it some time.

Cheerio! Xx
