So, another month comes to an end and I cannot believe how quickly September has gone by. It feels like all I’ve been doing this month is writing and not much of anything else. So I decided to take a beat and reassess where I am and where I want to be in life in, say, a few months or years from now.
And the timing couldn’t have been any better because A: this comes right after self-love and self-care September, B: October happens to be my birthday month, which makes it all the more special, and C: all of you are going to be on the road to self-discovery with me.
How you ask? Well, I came across a very interesting set of questions on my daily Pinterest scroll. And in addition to answering those questions in my journal, one day at a time, I’ll also be writing I want all of you to grab a notebook and join me on this journey, just as you have all of September.
October is the one month that I have always had to myself to lord over everybody else because it’s my birthday month and all. But this October, I am planning to be a lot more spontaneous; I have decided to do things that would possibly surprise me. And as I ring in a whole new year of my life, I have decided to dig deeper and come up with a plan for the next few years.
It’s not that I lack direction. I have a million ideas in my head that I could make extremely good use of. But the truth is that I haven’t really started giving them the shape that they should have taken already and it terrifies me because none of us knows how much time we’ve got left. So, while I still can, I am hoping that my birthday month helps me get all the insight I am going to need.
And naturally, since the topic is self-discovery, all of my posts for October are going to be extremely personal, taken right off of the pages of my journal and I have nothing to hide, so right on! You all don’t necessarily have to do this activity with me, but just in case you feel like you want to follow my 31 days of self-discovery, you can always reach me on my socials.
